About Us
For many years I have wanted to own and operate a lawn mower dealership. I am excited to begin this new venture now. In 2018, after mowing lawns for 15 years, I gave away nearly all of my mowing clients to focus on helping professional mowing companies be as productive as possible by having the best machines in the business.While mowing lawns for many years with the intent to be a lawn mower dealer, I didn’t know the brand I would want to sell, but became familiar with all sorts of different mowers. For a long time I was a Walker guy. In my area of Eastern Idaho it seemed that everyone, including me, believed Walkers were the Cadillac of mowers. Then a few years ago I was introduced to the Exmark Navigator. During the past 15 years, we have used all sorts of commercial lawn mowers including brands such as Walker, Exmark and Toro. We have spent many days mowing lawn after lawn after lawn with each of these brands. We are also very familiar with Ferris, Gravely and John Deere, Husqvarna, and Hustler mowers.
While each of these brands have their selling points and things we like, Scag mowers beat the competition. After using these other brands, we can say with confidence that Scag mowers are simply the best lawn mowers we have ever used. I quickly became a Scag believer after I used one for the first time in the spring of 2018. I love the level, smooth look and outstanding striping pattern look of Scag mower’s cut. It kind of create that Major League Baseball field look. It really is beautiful. Our mechanics can do small and major repairs on any Scag unit. Scag has an industry leading warranty on their machines, and they are a company who fully stands by their warranty.
Besides offering Scag mowers, at Turfco Power Equipment we sell many Honda products, including residential and commercial walk behind mowers, trimmers, blowers, engines and pumps. We specialize in Honda engines that connect to pump systems, which serve the agriculture industry in this area. We are a certified repair shop for all of our Honda products. Other brands we carry and service are Barreto, Mantis and Bluebird. We welcome trade-ins. We also do other small engine repair work on mostly any type of equipment. When you bring in a machine to us that needs repairs it won’t sit in our shop for long. We get onto it right away so that you can put it back to work as soon as possible.
Whatever your brand, come on in and borrow one of our Scag Mowers. They are our favorite for many reasons. We welcome you to come test out a Scag mower on your own grass or your customer’s. We don’t charge anything for this, and we don’t pressure you into buying anything. Bring in your own truck and trailer and take our Scag mower home with you for a few hours and try it out. We have several different configurations to choose from and can help you make an informed decision as to which one you ought to try. We know that you will find the machine to be superior in so many ways.
